Kelly Monaghan is a mother of four and a fulltime medical student at Memorial University, class of 2013. She also holds a PhD in Community Health from Memorial's Faculty of Medicine. Kelly initiated the Newfoundland Doula project in May 2008 with the hopes of establishing a generous pool of well-trained labour-support professionals to facilitate positive, empowering, women-centred birth experiences as they undergo this momentous transition from woman to mother.
